I thought today was an appropriate day for changing blogging sites, considering it is Election Day, and no matter who wins, there will be some kind of change. I hope.
After months of researching the candidates for both national and local offices, this morning at 5:30, I dragged myself out of bed, drove to my polling place with my three kids, stood in line for an hour and fifteen minutes, and cast my vote.
I was so excited! I've never been this excited to vote; the line was long and with the exception of two Grumpy People, everyone seemed in good spirits and there was a lot of chattering and laughing up and down the line. This evening I will cuddle up with the television and the internets and watch with bated breath to find out who will be this nation's next president.
In the meantime, there are meals to prepare, beds to make, groceries to buy, laundry to sort, and the bank to visit...all the little mundane things that often seem so dreary and drudging, but can really throw a wrinkle in things if they aren't accomplished.
Not much in the way of a first post, but it's not yet 8:30 in the morning, and I need caffeine.
